Borrow My Human is a personal, founder-led pet-care service run by Gerard Short in Manchester & surrounding areas. This notice explains what information is collected, why, and how it is handled.
What this website collects
This website does not require an account and does not store your enquiry on our servers. When you use the enquiry form, your details are used only to open a pre-filled WhatsApp message on your own device — you choose whether to send it. The website uses privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics to understand which sections are useful; this does not identify you personally.
What Gerard collects when you get in touch
To provide care, Gerard may keep the information you share directly, such as your name, contact details, address for visits, your pet’s needs, routine and any medication instructions, and an emergency vet contact. This is used solely to deliver the service you have requested.
How your information is used
- To arrange a meet-and-greet and agree the care you need
- To carry out walks, visits or sitting safely
- To send you updates about your pet
- To contact you or your emergency vet if there is a problem
Sharing
Your information is not sold or shared for marketing. It may be shared with a vet in an emergency, or where the law requires it. WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
Keeping and removing your information
Information is kept only as long as needed to provide the service and meet any legal obligations, then deleted. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information Gerard holds about you at any time.
