Terms & Cancellations

These plain-English terms cover how Borrow My Human works. Anything specific to your pet is agreed with Gerard Short at the free meet-and-greet before your first booking.

Booking

• A free meet-and-greet takes place before your first booking.
• Bookings are confirmed by message once dates, service and details are agreed.
• A clear quote is provided up front for anything beyond standard pricing, including additional pets or travel outside the core area.

Payment

Payment is due before or on the day of service, by the method agreed when you book.

Cancellations

• Please give as much notice as you can if plans change — a quick WhatsApp message is fine.
• Cancellations made with reasonable notice are not charged. Very last-minute cancellations may be charged for the time reserved, which will always be discussed openly rather than applied by surprise.

Your pet’s care

• Reactive, nervous or high-needs dogs are assessed individually and honestly at the meet-and-greet.
• No off-lead walking takes place without your written agreement and confident recall.
• Medication is given only where instructions are clear and the task is suitable.
• An emergency vet contact and your authority for care are captured before care begins. In a genuine emergency, and if you cannot be reached, Gerard will act in your pet’s best interests and seek veterinary help.

Your home

Keys and home access are handled carefully and used only to provide the agreed care. Your home and belongings are treated with respect.
